That might be changing. This aero-body came up for sale near me. 245,000 km (under 155,000 miles). $950. The timing isn’t quite right, but my parents are making a few decisions on it. Gratuitous velour below.
So clean!

Go either granny owned or Ex Police.

This one appears to be the former.

You remind me of me: another day, another car.

Well, a W210 is $5k. This is $950. That’s dirt cheap, and it still has the seat controls on the door panel.

Especially if I install an LSD.

So much for not having interest in domestic cars! Probably a safer choice for your bank account anyways, even if you have to do twice as much work to it than a 210 parts are so cheap it won’t matter.

I guess my issue is that a W210 costs $5k where I live. Even if I have to do four times the work, I’m still coming out ahead.

Mine runs great after actually fixing it. 113k and healthy compression. Watch out though because mine runs lean and leaves a puff of smoke during takeoff. Mine and another Aerovic I've seen chugging around Lynchburg does this.

Yeah. I hate to say it but the Ford is definitely the smart choice here.

That can be easily fixed with MZT. I know a surprising amount about whales, but a bit less about aerovics. We'll see what happens.
